History of the Oakland Raiders

The Raiders could have been known as the franchise which has had greater than its cut of bad football drafts during the years. This, mixed with the constant head coaching changes by Al Davis, has made winning sometimes difficult within the years. Among the more memorable draft day mistakes was the choice of troubled QB Todd Marinovich.

The Oakland Raiders have among the storied rivalries among any NFL football team, with the fiercest being San Diego, Denver and Kansas City. No matter if the Raiders aren’t as competitive, teams do not love to play them. That’s precisely why the team will always remain as one of the more accepted ones in the league.
